SCIENCE EXHIBITION – INSPIRING CURIOSITY & SCIENTIFIC TEMPER
Science is not just a subject — it is a way of thinking, questioning and discovering the world. At SLIS, we believe that developing scientific curiosity at an early age encourages creativity, problem-solving and a rational outlook in students.
With this vision, St. Lawrence International School, Jagadhri organised a vibrant Science Exhibition under the guidance of Chairman Dr. M. K. Sehgal. Students showcased their talent and imagination through more than 200 working models, charts and projects based on themes such as water purification, rainwater harvesting, solar system, seed germination, natural disasters, transport systems, robotics, renewable energy and many more.
The exhibition was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of distinguished guests and visitors. The event witnessed the presence of academic experts and dignitaries who appreciated the scientific spirit of the students. Guests noted that science and technology form the backbone of national progress, and such exhibitions play a vital role in nurturing curiosity, confidence and research skills in learners.
Worthy Managing Director Dr. M.K. Sehgal shared that providing students with hands-on scientific experiences enhances their ability to think critically, explore new ideas and understand scientific concepts beyond textbooks. Worthy Chairperson Dr. Rajni Sehgal encouraged students to continue building innovative models and to develop a scientific attitude that challenges superstition and promotes awareness.
Parents, teachers and students attended the event in large numbers, making it a meaningful platform for learning and innovation. The exhibition concluded with encouragement, appreciation and smiles as students felt motivated to pursue science with greater enthusiasm.
